Monday mornings
August 18 - November 3
A 12-week online workshop to help you write, publish and promote your work.
No fluff! Just all the things you need to move forward with confidence. Get accountability, encouragement, community, roadmaps, professional feedback and insights.
Monday morning weekly group check-ins alternating with discussions about writing topics (see below)
Two half-hour sessions during the 12 weeks to focus onissues pertaining to your work
Weekly writing prompts sent on Friday for the weekend (optional)
Challenge throughout to write 2,500 words a week (optional)
Opportunity to read your work to the group for feedback if you want
Guest speakers — published authors and their experiences
Formal presentations / discussions will focus on:
Best author software for you, from free (Reedsy, Google) to paid (Atticus)
The art of the one page outline
Theme and chapter development
Author platform-building – Amazon, Goodreads, and others
Dealing with bumps in the road
Edit like a pro: tips and tricks
How to stop editing and finish your work (yes, it’s a thing!)
How to build your audience
Accountability
Publishing Roadmap

Note: These dates were put together to avoid running into Thanksgiving holiday week. However, they will run into Labor Day. In this case, the workshop will be held on a Tuesday, September 2, and we have some time on the back end to add one last session if need be.
